What You’ll Do
- Monitor infrastructure and respond promptly to alerts using enterprise monitoring tools and established procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system incidents, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Manage network and infrastructure changes in accordance with change management processes.
- Prioritize incidents and tasks based on SLAs and operational criticality.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and drive improvements in operational processes and procedures.
- Proactively detect, own, and escalate issues that may impact service availability or performance.
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and resolutions.
- Contribute to maintaining a stable, secure, and high-performing production environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Systems Operations Center (SOC), or similar production support environment.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, NTP/PTP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, LogicMonitor, LibreNMS, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting multi-vendor environments, including technologies from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Check Point, and Fortinet.
- Understanding of infrastructure and systems operations in production environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management (desirable).
- Experience with scripting/automation tools such as Shell, Python, Perl, or PHP (desirable).
- Exposure to network and system automation or integration tools is a plus.
