We are looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join a major retail player. The successful candidate will take on a key role as Application Owner, ensuring the reliability, evolution, and performance of critical business applications.

You will work closely with technical and functional teams, contributing to both development and application responsibility within a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize COBOL applications

  • Act as the Application Owner, ensuring application stability and performance

  • Analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions

  • Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders in a retail context

  • Contribute to application modernization initiatives when relevant

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in COBOL development

  • Experience as an application owner or responsible applicatif is highly valued

  • Solid understanding of legacy systems and business-critical applications

  • Fluent French (spoken and written) is mandatory
